Deer Survey and Habitat Assessment
With this service, I analyze your current deer habitat and look at how deer behave on your property through physical scouting and thermal drone observation. My goal is to provide you with insights and information to help improve your habitat and hunting strategy.
What my process looks like:
I schedule an initial phone call to discuss your property's location and talk about the goals/expectations of this service.
I assess your property on a large scale using digital maps.
I visit your property in person to look for signs of deer use and develop an understanding of how deer currently use your property. I regularly take notes during this step and mark my digital maps with pins and notes.
While there, I evaluate your current habitat features and determine where there are strengths and weaknesses.
I evaluate your stand/blind setups and access to the property.
I do aerial surveys with my thermal drone so you can understand how deer use your property and how many you have on your property at a given time.
After I finish, I provide a digital map of your property and a written document including my notes and findings.
I follow up with a call to make sure you understand what I've provided and offer any help I can on the next steps.
