Above is an example of TSI where non-desirable species were harvested to open the canopy and inrease sunlight to the forest floor to create cover areas, fawning areas, and availble forbs and browse for the deer.

What my process looks like:

  1. I schedule an initial phone call to discuss your goals and expectations for this service.

  2. I visit your property to walk your woods and understand what you're trying to accomplish. Then, I provide you with a quote.

    • During my visit we will discuss a variety of topics like hinge cutting, girdling, release cuts, felling and more. When we walk your property, I discuss the methods I recommend to meet your goals.

  3. I start developing a digital and written plan for your property.

    • After I’ve completed my plan, I like to consult a professional certified forester to ensure we are making good silvicultural decisions for the short-term and long-term health of your property.

  4. I will present you with the plan and we will discuss next steps to accomplish TSI or FSI on your woodlot.
