Mobile Hunting Training

This service is for anyone interested in mobile hunting, but has never been able to try it, afford it, or wants to know more about it. Since some of the gear and methods may be foreign to certain people, they can try the gear and practice the climbing methods without purchasing the equipment first.

What my process looks like:

  1. I schedule an initial phone call to discuss your goals and expectations for this training.

  2. You visit the training area at my woods, where you can try my Saddle, Mobile Hang-On Stand, Climbing Sticks, and other mobile hunting gear.

  3. Once you feel comfortable, I let you practice climbing the tree and getting set up to hunt as if it were a real-life situation. We only do this at safe heights where you feel comfortable.

  4. Once you’ve practiced climbing and getting the Mobile Hang-On or Saddle into place, you can start practicing shooting from these with your bow.

Pricing

  • If you travel to me: $150

  • If I have to travel to you: $250

What you need to bring:

I have all the gear and safety items you will need. You only need to bring your bow, quiver, and arrows.

What is mobile hunting?

Instead of hunting from a treestand permanently fixed to one tree, mobile hunting uses lightweight gear you set up and take down before each hunt. The three most common types of mobile hunting gear setups are Climbing Tree Stands, Hang-On Tree Stands, and Saddle Stands.

 The two types I teach and prefer are Hang-Ons and Saddles.
